PM- My dad's surgery was POSTPONED because when they checked him out today, they found out he's worse than they thought. He's in very bad shape, he WILL need a triple bypass but they have to stabilize him FIRST and get his CONSENT (he's very stubborn). It may be a few DAYS from now before they operate. Please keep praying. Thank you!!
AM- Please pray for my dad, Chet Sr., 74 who is having emergency heart surgery this morning out in Pennsylvania. He is unsaved and, sadly, we've been estranged these past five years. I'm really sad that I can't call or VISIT him, but PRAYERS can go where I can't go, even FARTHER than that!! Please pray that the Lord will spare his life, his overall health condition is poor as he was a heavy smoker and drinker and MOST of all pray that his "spiritual" heart will be healed by the LORD. Thank you!!
Thursday, Nov. 5th- yesterday was a BANNER DAY around here. First, it was my Mother-In-Law's 85th Birthday. Then, Chris Christie was elected as our new Governor the night before, transforming our state from a deep BLUE one to a RED one. And now, LAST NIGHT......

8:30 AM- Our Yankees LOST last night but Beth and I are hoping Chris Christie WINS the Governor's Race here in New Jersey today, it would be a DEFEAT for OBAMA if that happens. When Beth and I voted this morning, turnout was LIGHT in our Democrat town and I think a light turnout might help CHRISTIE.....however, let us NEVER underestimate the Dems' ability to STEAL AN ELECTION!!!
As for the Yankees, the World Series returns to New York tm'w night and ONE MORE WIN gives us the Title.....

The New York Yankees, after beating the Phillies LAST night, can clinch the World Series TONIGHT with a win in Philadelphia!! Personally, part of me hopes they lose TONIGHT and the Series goes back to New York on WEDNESDAY and they clinch at HOME. Wednesday is the one year anniversary of Obama's election and it would be nice to have a GOOD historical event to overlay a BAD memory!!! That being said, if we win TONIGHT, well....SO BE IT!!! Yanks lead Series 3-1......

Note that Corzine's ad doesn't even mention HIM and HIS RECORD....it mentions Chris Christie (the Republican gubernatorial candidate) AND (of course) former PRESIDENT BUSH!!! Do the Dems REALIZE that Bush is ........OUT OF OFFICE???? I hate to say it, but this ad is aimed at manipulating mental midgets to come out and vote, not FOR Jon Corzine......but AGAINST a man who is GONE but apparently not FORGOTTEN......and who had LITTLE to do with how the Dems (who've been in control of New Jersey MOST of the last 8 years) messed up my home state!!! The one year anniversary of President Obama's election is Nov. 4th, Veteran's Day is the 11th and of course Thanksgiving Day this year is Nov. 26th. In all honesty, were it not for Scripture passages which command us "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:14, NJKV) and "giving thanks always for all things" (Ephesians 5:20), I would have a very hard time giving thanks to the Lord for Barack Hussein Obama. His election appears to be, at this point, as I've said before, a Judgment from Heaven upon this wayward nation as he daily destroys America from within.
Unlike PAST Presidents in my lifetime, some of whom HAVE harmed us by their Presidencies, Obama's harmful ways seem deliberate, calculated, and even INTENTIONAL. A case in point is the fact that while October of this year has yielded more American deaths than in any single month of the 8 year Afghan war, Obama has been dragging his feet about following his General’s recommendation to send more troops. Troop morale is sagging while the death toll is rising, and Obama seems indifferent! Yet, if I'm to be honest with myself, even THIS (Obama’s terrible Presidency) is part of the "everything" and "all things" we are commanded to be thankful for. If nothing else, I can thank God that for well over 200 years He was merciful and SPARED us a President like the present one.
And if "we" think "WE" have it rough being thankful for Obama (I don't know about you, but I'm just “an average American”), imagine how members of our MILITARY feel. In that old country song, Deana Carter sang "Did I shave my legs for this?", reflecting on marriage to a deadbeat hubby who turned out to be a huge disappointment. Imagine how members of our military, who are presently fighting for this country, must feel knowing that OBAMA now runs it. I can almost hear some of them wondering " did I enlist to serve my country....for this?" In the aforementioned song, it was merely a case of the man "no longer running once he caught the bus", and Deana lamenting that she ever went through the discomfort of shaving her legs to look attractive when they were still dating. In the case of our present President, it's almost like he's out to destroy the bus, now that he's CAUGHT the bus. For such a one to receive the Nobel Peace Prize must aggravate ANYONE in our military…any ONE of whom is more deserving to win that honor than HE is.
And, unlike the ones they fight FOR (namely, us), our men and women who serve today do not have the liberty to TALK about their Commander-In-Chief openly and truthfully. All the more reason that we at "The Daily War" pledge to continue speaking FOR them.....and are thankful because we DO yet have that freedom. Vets who fought HITLER in WWII must truly be wondering how we ever got to the point where ANOTHER "Hitler" appears to be rising up, RIGHT HERE IN OUR BELOVED AMERICA.....but we can all be thankful Hitler WAS defeated or we wouldn't be here now writing this magazine, saying what WE want to say.
First and foremost, in this Thanksgiving time I’m here to express gratitude for the ones who’ve served this country. But Scripture would have me as a Christian go BEYOND that, and to thank God for someone He has placed in power who is doing a DISservice to us. And I do thank God because Obama shows that God’s promises of judgment are true, as well as His promises of mercy.
In our very first issue, July '09, my Chetitorial dealt with how we should pray for President Obama (see July ’09 Archives on page 21. I basically said we should pray he’d get saved and be protected, and that the Lord would SAVE and protect AMERICA from HIM.) Well, prayer should always, Scripture teaches, be "with thanksgiving" (Philippians 4:6) and did you notice as this article went along, I found things I could express thankfulness for even in the midst of this mess we are in?
The four years we suffered, from '76-'80, under Jimmy Carter prepared us for eight GREAT years under Ronald Reagan. Who is to say whether the Lord isn't preparing us for ANOTHER great President, using the scourge of Obama? And who can count how many in the CHURCH have been awakened at last from their spiritual slumber, because of THIS man in the White House now? Isn’t a spiritual revival what we’ve PRAYED for, in America?
We can be HONEST before God about Barack Obama. He is a LEMON of a President, and that is being extremely CHARITABLE. But we must also be THANKFUL for him, as difficult as that is. It could always be worse….just think, if anything happened to Obama it would be BIDEN running the show. And, if BOTH of them were lost, how would you feel about President PELOSI? If we are not THANKFUL as we pray, our prayers for the President AND America may be hindered.
The old saying goes that "even an ill wind blows some good" and in the past year, since the election of "Mr. Ill Wind" himself, Barack Hussein Obama, Conservatism has been on the rise in America. Those of you who've said Obama is "good-for-nothing" are dead wrong, and this Gallup poll PROVES that!!! This is ONE thing Obama is good for.....awakening CONSERVATISM in America. God Willing, in 2010 we will see big changes TO THE RIGHT in this country which will leave Obama a lame duck for his last two years in office and leave us in position to recapture the White House in 2012 and hold it for SEVERAL elections.

Here's my story, inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe who first got me writing (first short stories, then poems) 40 years ago.....
"The Indians In The Rocks"
I know you may think me insane but I needed to tell this entire incredible story while I still can tell it. I'm here on my laptop in the woods just off of Rt. 77 West, just before the "Musconetcong" exit where they are blasting up the mountain to make space for the condos. I'm putting everything in writing in case you find me dead, I want you to know how and what happened. My cellphone is already dead so I am unable to call for help, but who would believe me anyway unless you hear my entire story?
I'm afraid to move here in the dark woods, other than to type out the full story for you now.
The other day I was driving this way on business, and expected to see, as always, the part of the mountain that jutted out a bit as you ascend and before you turn the bend to come to the Musconetcong exit.
As a little boy, I recall driving with my dad on Saturdays to see Uncle Stew (who lived near this exit) and my dad, a very non-communicative man, once told me his father told him if you look real close at that section of the mountain, you can see INDIANS IN THE ROCKS. Sure enough, as months went by and we passed by this location, I gazed at this section of the jagged mountain (having nothing else to do, as my dad was so quiet) and my young imagination saw the faces of Indians who inhabited this part of New Jersey hundreds of years ago "sculpted" in the ancient stone. I began to treasure this location as we'd pass by it because it was one of the few things my dad ever "passed down" to me from my grandfather (other than, of course, "Dont eat yellow snow, it's not lemon ice".)
As the years went by, Uncle Stew died and so my dad and I had no more reason to visit Musconetcong. I of course grew to be a man and my dad moved to Pennsylvania, but whenever I drove past this section of Rt. 77 on business I always saw the "Indians In The Rocks" and thought of my father. It was the one thing he communicated to me that I could accept and not reject, one of my few fond memories of my dad (whose eyes, influenced by the alcohol he consumed, no doubt saw the "Indians In The Rocks" a lot easier than I could.) The Indians In The Rocks and my dad had a lot in common, they were both non-communicative but "always there" in my life from my youngest years.
Now that my father is lying near death in Pennsylvania and we are estranged, the Indians In The Rocks meant more to me than ever, being one of the permanent memories of "better times" my dad and I shared. You can imagine, perhaps, my despair and sadness as I drove by here the other day to see men working with large vehicles to blast and deface and carry away this section of the mountain which I once thought would be here "forever", even after my father leaves this earthly vale of tears.
And you know, it's not like I even ever took a PHOTO of this treasured location! Because it is so personal, one cannot just go online and search "Indians In The Rocks" and get a picture of how this hill once looked. For many restless hours I pondered these things then decided to come back early this evening with camera in hand to at least take a picture of what remains of this part of my life I once shared with my now dying, estranged father.
That's when I saw what happened.
The earth-moving equipment was NOT silent because the sun was setting and the day was nearly over, but because each of the workers had either arrows or spears through his heart or back, and was lying dead and bleeding.
And I'm writing this now because I may well be next to fall before that which has been unleashed!
